Natalie Steager
Founder & CEO, Cog Mission
Builder, listener, and the person who will tell you about the bagel-shop fence before she mentions the CTO title.
Over more than two decades, Natalie has bridged executive strategy with deep technical expertise—modernizing operations, leading enterprise software implementations, managing complex SIS migrations, and guiding organizational change across healthcare, education, enterprise learning, nonprofits, and membership associations. As a Chief Technology Officer, Senior Program Manager, and enterprise consultant, she has worked with organizations including Apple, Microsoft, Autodesk, Wolters Kluwer, Skillsoft, Aramark, Northrop Grumman, Quest Diagnostics, W. L. Gore & Associates, Cannon Business Solutions, The Project Management Institute, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and the School District of Philadelphia.
A polymath of the digital age, Natalie's résumé reads less like a corporate ladder and more like a scavenger hunt: webmaster, bartender, PowerSchool administrator, CTO, enterprise consultant, entrepreneur, and community organizer. She founded one of the early Google Groups for CompTIA Security professionals and has been an active voice in OAuth and identity communities. Her working theory? Technical hurdles are rarely impossible—they're usually a question of curiosity, time, and who you call at 4:00 a.m.
That philosophy didn't come from a textbook. Her perspective is deeply rooted in a childhood spent in a family-owned 7-Eleven convenience store and early-career hustles like climbing fences at 4:00 a.m. to turn on the ovens at a local bagel shop. Long before enterprise software and AI, she learned that great customer service begins with showing up, solving problems, and helping the next person in line.
Those lessons still shape the way she approaches technology today. Natalie trains dogs for fun and once successfully trained a cat named Bouch to use the toilet—so she's reasonably confident we can train AI to do what we actually intend. The trick isn't making intelligence more powerful; it's learning how to communicate our intentions more clearly. Whether she's working with people, animals, or artificial intelligence, she believes the best results come from patience, curiosity, and understanding how others learn.
At the heart of Cog Mission is a simple belief: the future isn't something we wait for—it's something we build together. Natalie's mission is to ensure that as artificial intelligence becomes more capable, it also becomes more compassionate, more transparent, and more focused on strengthening human connection, enabling better businesses, stronger communities, and more meaningful work.
Through Wocket, that mission becomes practical. Natalie believes every small business owner deserves access to the same tools, insights, and operational capabilities once reserved for the world's largest organizations. Wocket is designed to help entrepreneurs spend less time fighting technology and more time doing the work they love—serving customers, growing their teams, and strengthening their communities.
